Time:2025-12-23 Choosing a suitable home treadmill can start with clarifying one's own needs and understanding key parameters:
Step 1: Clarify your core needs
First, ask yourself a few key questions that determine your purchasing direction:
·Who are the main users? Is it for personal use or for the whole family to use?
·What are the main training objectives? Is it daily jogging to lose weight, brisk walking, or high-intensity training for running a marathon?
·What is the available space? Is it a fixed placement or does it need to be folded for storage?
·What is the budget? Including purchase costs and possible subsequent maintenance costs.
Step 2: Understand key hardware parameters
Once the requirements are determined, we can focus on the following core configurations:
1. Continuous horsepower
It directly determines the stability and load-bearing capacity of the treadmill during long-term operation. It's not about looking at 'peak horsepower', you must look at 'sustained horsepower'.
·Daily running: A continuous horsepower of 1.5 CHP or more is sufficient.
·Regular running training: It is recommended to use at least 2.0CHP.
·High intensity, heavy weight, or family use: It is best to choose 2.5CHP or higher.
2. Running belt size
It is related to the safety and comfort of running, especially for tall or large strides.
·Size suggestion: A width of at least 45 centimeters and a length of 130 centimeters or more is more secure. I'd rather be slightly wider than too narrow.
·Reference height: For users with a height of 180cm or more, it is recommended to choose a running belt with a length of 140cm or more.
3. Shock absorption system
This is directly related to the health of joints such as knees and ankles.
·Importance: Good shock absorption can effectively absorb impacts and reduce the risk of sports injuries.
4. Slope adjustment
It can significantly increase training intensity and diversity.
·Household range: 0-12% electric slope adjustment can meet the majority of needs, including simulated climbing training.
·Advanced features: A few high-end models offer a "negative slope" (downhill simulation) function, suitable for more professional training.
